Cristina Ampatzidou

Cristina Ampatzidou is a Rotterdam-based researcher with a background in Architecture and Urbanism, and co-founder of research-led practice Amateur Cities. Currently a research fellow for the CreaTures project at RMIT Europe, she is also pursuing her PhD at the University of Groningen on the topic of gaming and urban complexity, Cristina is a film curator for the Architecture Film Festival of Rotterdam and a regular contributor to architecture and urbanism magazines. Combining experience in both design and research, she focuses on studying applications of new media and digital technologies for participatory urban design.
